Appalachia Service Project is a non-profit that works to make homes in central Appalachia warmer, safer, and drier. For four summers, I have spent a week volunteering in West Virginia, helping families to feel more secure in their homes. I love the opportunities ASP provides to undertake creative construction projects while also connecting with the families we serve, making new friends you never expected to make. The hardest part of ASP is coming back home.
