Anthony D’Iorio is originally from northern New Jersey where he attended Northern Highlands Regional High school. He became very active in his school’s newspaper and was eventually named it’s Senior Editor-in-Chief. He graduated in the top 10% of his high school class and went on to attend American University in their School of Public Affairs Leadership Program.
Since he was 15, Anthony held positions seasonally at local restaurants beginning as a dishwasher. These positions are what Anthony credits his work ethic to as well as his strong belief that all people regardless of ability or language deserve to be treated with the same respect.
Education has had a crucial role in Anthony’s life in and out the traditional classroom. Last year he worked on a research project attempting to discover contributing factors to high drop out rates among Washington DC public high schools and on a larger scale, the inequality of the education system in the United States.
Currently, he serves as the Student Co-Director of the School of Public Affairs Leadership Program.
