My distinct research and analytical skills, great time and project management skills assist me at succeeding as the planning and project management assistant financial analyst at American University. At the position, I am responsible for updating University projects’ financial ledgers and expense sheets, creating commitments, invoicing expenditure amounts into the database, and processing purchase orders. Furthermore, I assist the director of Procurement Department with submitting contracts for new projects and agreements. As I have shown distinct progress, great attention to detail and ability to absorb new material and working techniques, I was recently promoted to the financial analyst assistant supervisor. My new responsibilities also include training new interns, overlooking and approving work done by them.
In addition to my professional experiences, I was the head of the Department of Education, Recreation, and Arts of the Student Government for four years of high school. I was in charge of event planning and organization, schedule management, and the execution of department meetings. I thrive under pressure and highly motivated by the challenge and close deadlines. Besides, I have succeeded in building a strong collaborative relationship with faculty and other student government members to improve the productivity of my department. All my previous job experiences required profound knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. Throughout the years I have managed to advance my Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills to my best understanding.
