American University Campus

Jack is currently a second-year student at American University in Washington, DC. Over the summer of 2017, Jack worked as a community organizer for the Texas Campaign for the Environment in Dallas, fighting to improve recycling in Dallas and surrounding cities and to kill major portions of Texas’s HB 70 and SB 14 (bills that would have revoked local control over tree protection). In college, Jack has acquired research experience as part of the AU Scholars Program. During his most recent project, he worked with other students to compile and analyze data on dozens of political parties in Asia and Latin America analyzing the effects that women’s wings of political parties have on women’s representation. Jack is currently a member of the Olson Scholars program, researching the goals and effects of government-sponsored nationalism in the People’s Republic of China.
