Kathryn “Kate” Minium is a first-year student in American University’s School of Public Affairs Leadership Program. She is studying Law and Society and International Studies to create a firm foundation for a career in either law enforcement, intelligence, or national security. Additionally, she is participating in an accelerated three-year BA Politics, Policy, and Law program which helps integrate the concepts learned in the classroom to real-world experience.
This past summer, she interned for Virginia Governor Terence R. McAuliffe where she became acquainted with the political realm. She is furthering her on-campus involvement being a dedicated member to The Pre-Law Society and The Roosevelt Institute. Serving as Press Secretary for The Security-Network at American University (TSAU) and as a Campaign Fellow for American University College Democrats have both helped prepare her for work in the professional world in fields of her interest.
In the coming years, she hopes to expand both her on and off campus involvement to better educate and prepare herself for a future career in law enforcement, intelligence, or national security.
