I am currently an Intern at the Center for Israel Studies.at American University. I love interning there and the mission of the organization is very important to me.
The Center for Israel Studies is a non-partisan center that educates people about Israeli politics, history, and culture through a variety of fascinating events. My duties and responsibilities are mostly to do outreach for upcoming events by reaching out to students, community members, and student groups. My favorite part of the internship is attending the events and learning more about Israel. Also, the Center for Israel Studies feels more like a family than a formal job or internship.
The mission of the Center for Israel Studies means a lot to me. I studied abroad in Jerusalem, Israel last year and I had a very meaningful experience there. As a Jewish woman, Israel is very important to me. When my internship ends, I will continue to learn about Israel.
