My name is Nathan Tietz, and I’m from Fremont, California. I’m a second-year student at American University’s School of International Service. In addition to being a part of the Olson Scholars program in SIS, I’m a Desk Receptionist for Housing and Residence Life on campus and the Women’s Advocacy chair of my fraternity chapter. I hope to use my education to help combat climate change in North Africa and the Middle East after volunteering in the Peace Corps.

Aside from that, I like to jam out to music, play NBA 2K with my roommate, follow the Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors, San Jose Earthquakes, and the Michigan Wolverines. I’ve also had a huge interest in geography ever since I won my school’s Geography Bee in 4th grade #noshame #funfacts
