This past year of working with the fellow members of the Public Health and Policy issue group has helped me to grow as a leader. While working alongside the other group members, I have learned how to become more outspoken as a leader while at the same time listening to the opinions of others in the group.
This past year our Public Health and Policy issue group has been working on a project that involves targeting elementary-aged populations and providing elementary schools in the Washington D.C. area with beneficial resources and assistance. Our group has created an infographic that provides the parents and teachers of elementary school students with resources to help combat mental health issues with students of that age.
