HFOApp

Jan 11, 2024

HFOApp is a MATLAB-based software developed by Guangyu Zhou and colleagues for detecting and identifying HFOs. HFOs, or high frequency oscillations observed in EEG recordings, are used as a biomarker in epilepsy. Previously, HFOs in EEG recordings had to be manually marked, which is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. HFOApp addresses these challenges by offering an intuitive GUI that combines manual marking with automation tools. This streamlines the marking process, significantly reducing the time required for EEG analysis while also enhancing inter-rater reliability. The source code along with full documentation can be found on the lab’s Github page.
