3D-Printed Syringe Rack
Garrett Denney, an undergraduate neuroscience major at American University, recently completed his first 3D printing project, which he shared on GitHub. Inspired by challenges in his research lab, where syringes are used for drug administration to animals, Garrett designed a horizontal syringe rack. This rack simplifies syringe identification, improves sterility, and enhances organization, especially during the rapid injection of multiple animals. Garrett’s design, compatible with 1mL BD Brand Luer-Lok syringes, is shared on GitHub with a numbering scheme and as a blank template. He hopes that his creation will benefit other labs and serve as a learning resource for those interested in 3D printing. Access his design files on GitHub through the provided link.
