Holeboard

Nov 25, 2024

Researchers at the Bernardo Houssay Institute of Physiology and Biophysics, led by Esteban Valverde, have developed an open-source holeboard for studying rodent behavior. Holeboards are a widely used tool in neuroscience for assessing exploration, anxiety, and spatial memory in rodents. The project provides a cost-effective solution, offering detailed instructions on sensor integration, circuit assembly, and Arduino programming for conducting experiments. Design files and other details are available on GitHub.
