EMILY’s List: State and Local Campaigns Intern

As a State and Local Campaigns Intern with EMILY’s List, I research and vet candidates and donors while organizing and maintaining candidate information files within the State and Local Database. I compile and write background research on non-federal candidates and races as well. Through EMILY’s List I have campaigned with several Get Out the Vote field- organizing trips to ensure women’s equal opportunity for office. In particular I have worked on campaigns across Virginia and Pennsylvania, for Chrissy Houlahan, Elaine Luria, Abigail Spanberger, Susan Wild, and Claudette Williams. At the EMILY’s List office I contribute to various daily tasks including mail database entry, front desk management, and phone operations. At EMILY’s List I am a part of electing women who will pass legislation that will contribute to greater social, political, and economic equality for all women, granting rights insofar as wage equity, healthcare access, maternity leave, and environmental justice. My work with EMILY’s List allows me to pursue my passion of generating opportunity for women who in turn create a more ethical and just society.
