Hello, My name is Christopher Orjuela. I grew in the suburbs of New York, in a small town called Chappaqua. I am currently attending American University, majoring in Political Science, hoping to attend law school and become a lawyer in the future. I am currently a member of the class of 2021 School of Public Affairs Leadership Program.
My job experience includes being a Camp Counselor at the New Castle Recreation Summer Camps. Through my experience working there, I have learned leadership, teamwork and life skills that I hope to use for my future profession. With these skills learned, I hope to be able to become an effective and strong lawyer, as well as become an all around great person. My personality and characteristics allow me to stay cool under pressure, as I am able to go with the flow, take hardship and properly and effectively deal with it, without becoming scared, overwhelmed, and losing hope. While I am easy going, in times where I need to be, I am very hardworking, focused, and can effectively take over and become a leader. Overall, I know how to act in each situation, both in a casual and professional setting. The reason I want to become a lawyer in the future is because I love to argue and fight for what I believe in. I have always been like this, and people who know me understand that I fight for what I believe in. I am also able to do in depth research on any topic I am studying. I am hoping these skills will allow me to succeed, and one day become a lawyer either on the state or federal level.
