Involvement with A21
Although I am most interested in economic development, I am also passionate about the global fight for human rights.
A21 is a non-profit organization that aims to end slavery everywhere, forever. With offices across the globe, A21 works to prevent slavery from ever happening by engaging people through events, student presentations, and education programs. It also works closely with law enforcement on the ground to support police operations, identify victims through its hotlines, assist in the prosecution of traffickers, represent survivors in court proceedings, and collaborate with governments and other NGOs to eradicate slavery at every level.
Previously, I volunteered with A21 during their annual Walk For Freedom, an event across the globe aimed at raising awareness. I also created a fundraiser to assist the organization. This year, I registered and got accepted as an official host of the Global Freedom Summit, an event aimed at raising awareness, sponsoring education on human trafficking and methods of identifying and helping the victims, as well as on taking action by reaching out to local representatives for the purposes of making a battle against human trafficking a priority.
