Hi! My name is Laina D’Costa,.
I was born and raised in New York City until the age of 9 when I moved to Flemington, New Jersey. This past August, I began my college education at the School of Public Affairs at American University. By 2021, I will graduate with a degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. Looking into my future, I plan to go to law school and eventually become a district attorney.
My goal in life is to help those who have been wronged and made into victims. Throughout my life, I have broken through barriers in order to fight for my own rights as a first generation American. My mother and father are both immigrants who come from different parts of the world where they are no where near as privileged as those in America. For that reason, it is important to me to help those who cannot help themselves in order to help those who cannot help themselves.
Although my future and academics are extremely important to me, when I am not focusing on that, I love spending time with friends and family.
