About Me

Hi, my name is Morgan Scott. I am a student at American University in Washington, DC, where I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology as well as working towards a Certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies through the School of Public Affairs Leadership Program.

I am originally from a small beach town called Jensen Beach, FL. I was among a small pool of African American students within my community, which allowed me to stand out among others and find my individual voice. I have a passion for activism and making change in different communities, as I have been involved with organizing BLM marches and town rallies to discuss social injustice. Coming to American University, I hope to delve deeper in the role of policy change within the realms of medicine and human rights, by harnessing the proper tools to become a well rounded, passionate, outspoken, and responsive leader. I also had the chance of developing organizational, professional, and collaborative skills while working on a local, progressive political campaign this summer, which enhanced my interest in politics.

With that being said, I am so excited to find my strength and grow my interest in enacting changes and becoming a better leader.
