My name is Simone Laws and I am a rising senior at American University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a double concentration in Global and Comparative Governance as well as Peace, Global Security, and Conflict Resolution.  My regional focus is in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am highly interested in diplomacy and the foreign service. 

I am originally from Eugene, Oregon but home for me resides in Nairobi, Kenya and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where I was raised. My overseas experience is the driving force behind my motivation to study international affairs and continue to interact with open-minded individuals. This appreciation for a diversified workplace with individuals from divergent backgrounds is one I seek to share with my subsequent employers.
