I am professor of government and faculty director of the leadership program at American University’s School of Public Affairs, as well as a research fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs at Georgetown University.
I previously served as professor of political science and director of the Institute for Leadership Studies at Mount St. Mary’s University. Before that, I taught at Saint Anselm College from 1992 to 2008, where I was the executive director of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. I hold a Ph.D. in Government (Comparative Politics) from Georgetown University.
