Name of Experience: Co-Coordinator of Diversity and Inclusion for the SPA Leadership Program
Date or Time Frame: March 2018- April 2019
Description: Worked with my fellow co-coordinator to create a foundation as to address diversity in the program while also nurturing an inclusive environment in each respective class and between different classes at program wide events.

Name of Experience: Communications Intern at the Coalition for Juvenile Justice
Date or Time Frame: August 2020-December 2020
Description: During my time as a communications intern at CJJ I had many opportunities to grow my professional writing skills. Not only did I research and analyze different key facts and figures, I also wrote and edited sections in a peer equity journal on racial equity in the juvenile justice system in the United States. As an intern, I learned the importance of delegating tasks among a team as well as constant communication in order to maintain a united understanding as well as address any issues, concerns or confusion.

Name of Experience: Communications and Legislative Intern for State Representative Michael S. Day
Date or Time Frame: Summer 2019 (May-July) and Summer 2020 (June-August)
Description: My first summer as an intern for Representative Day consisted of day to day legislative tasks ranging from constituent communication and correspondence to sitting in on hearings and delivering the notes to the Representative to review and use in his analysis and reflection on the particular bills. My second summer, given my range of skills that I proved last summer in my bill summary that I submitted to the Representative, I was offered a role as a communications intern where I produced op-eds, remarks for a local town meeting regarding a mascot controversy and various press releases.

Name of Experience: Second-Year TA for the SPA Leadership Program
Date or Time Frame: May 2020-May 2021
Description: I was matched with six students in the second-year class to work with them throughout the year in creating their independent social action projects. I met with students weekly and provided instruction as to upcoming assignments as well as crafting plans of action to efficiently and successfully complete their projects. I work with them to brainstorm, overcome challenges and create paths of success throughout the project.
