Anatomy

Sex refers to the reproductive organs someone has, as well as their secondary sex characteristics. These definitions include Male, Female, and Intersex.

Gender refers to how someone identifies based on societal norms. This is how you see yourself, and how society sees you. There are a set of culturally-defined gender traits, however, definitions of gender are evolving so quickly that studies about it are having a hard time keeping up. Recent studies are showing that gender is more of a spectrum and less binary. There is no right or wrong way to be a girl, no right or wrong way to be a boy, and it’s perfectly fine to be neither!
