The Dropout, hosted by Rebecca Jarvis and published by ABC audio, details the story of Elizebeth Holmes and her fraud scheme. I wanted to explore the concept of research coupled with other learning styles. I chose a website format for my project because it was an interesting and interactive way to share information. I focused my project on the blood testing device that Elizebeth Holmes developed. It was talked about in the podcast but I felt it should get more attention. I also wanted to provide a visual element of the device. In class we talked a lot about how podcasts are not for everyone because some people are visual learners.
This website allows for the podcasts audience to engage in a visual component if that is something that works better for them. Besides a post including visuals of the device I also provided more information on it. The podcast is focused mainly on the drama and scandal behind the story so the device did not get as in depth of a description. With this website people not only get to see the device but learn more about its function and downfall.
