AU Entrée Teaching Workshops: Using Class Time Productively
with Elizabeth (Betsy) Cohn

Dates and location to be determined

Do you use class time productively? While we might have thought about the right mix of lecture and discussion, there are other key issues for effective student learning. We will discuss how to ask questions designed to elicit analysis rather than facts or opinions, and how you can ensure that discussion builds on assigned readings and is productive. And we will review tips for managing classroom discussion.

AU Entrée Teaching Workshops: Mid-Semester Check-In
with Elizabeth (Betsy) Cohn

Dates and location to be determined

The most thoughtful plans sometimes succeed, but sometimes they don’t. We will share successes and challenges we’ve had in the classroom this semester, problem-solving together any areas for improvement. We will share mid-semester evaluations to use with our students so that we can make any course corrections now, rather than wait for next semester.
