    AU’s next strategic plan will reinforce our ongoing commitment to both high-impact research and excellence in teaching. During the lunch plenary, Provost Wilkins will engage a faculty panel in conversation about what it means for the university to maintain R1 distinction in a way that stays true to our liberal-arts roots and student-centered mission. The group will discuss the tensions created by this dual focus and the investments that will be required for continued success.
