Session Description:

This workshop aims to challenge and expand your understanding of academic rigor while also focusing on creating equitable learning environments. Join us to learn more about the tools needed to uphold rigorous academic standards while simultaneously supporting all students in their educational journey by balancing structure and flexibility.

Learning Outcomes:

• Explore how traditional concepts of rigor reinforce inequity among learners.
• Examine the value of structure and flexibility in meeting diverse student needs and experiences that may lead them to require different levels of structure and flexibility.
• Select teaching strategies which promote rigor through flexibility and transparency while promoting student autonomy.
