Participants will examine practical, evidence-informed strategies that strengthen belonging, resilience, and student success while identifying approaches they can immediately apply within their own programs and student interactions.

  1. Identify the academic, social, and personal factors that most influence first-year student success and persistence.
  2. Evaluate practical strategies that foster academic confidence, meaningful connections, and student well-being throughout the first-year experience.
  3. Develop one actionable strategy to enhance student success within their own advising, teaching, or student support role.
