701: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools and Academic Integrity: Guidance and Advice

Session Description:

The Office of Academic Integrity team will discuss concerns about irresponsible use of artificial intelligence tools in the context of academic integrity. This session will offer insight about various AI tools and how we’ve seen students using (and misusing) them. Participants will leave with syllabus and assignment guidance, OAI resources, and information about submitting official AIC concerns.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify concerns about and potential usefulness of AI tools
  • Develop ideas for syllabus language to guide the usage of AI tools – how they’ll be used (or not used) – in your course, and how to use such tools responsibly
  • Create questions for developing discipline-specific conversations about AI tools in order to create guidance for your cohort
  • Identify support services and resources from OAI, including guidance on filing an official AIC case
