404: Bringing Your Classes to Life with Experiential Learning

Session Description:

AU’s commitments to learning by doing is deeply interwoven into courses across disciplines and unites. Within this learning space, please come and explore with faculty colleagues their distinct approaches to incorporating experiential learing within syllabus design, course design, course assignments, and in class activities. This will be an opportunity for four faculty to showcase how they uniquely embed experiential learning in various disciplines and approaches. Additionally, we will provide workshopping time for faculty to consider how to enhance or augment experiential learning within upcoming courses, while sharing access to AU’s resources and connections in the experiential learning space.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Broaden knowledge and skills for embedding experiential learning opportunities within course design, assignments, and class sessions.
  2. Begin planning experiential learning components for an upcoming course.
  3. Deepen understanding of AU’s commitment to experiential learning and the resources available to support it.
