Session Description:
In this session, staff from Academic Advising, Academic Support, the Office of the Dean of Students, and the Registrar’s Office will share practical tools and resources that faculty can use to support student success. Topics will include identifying and referring students of concern, available academic support services, and important university deadlines and processes that affect students’ academic progress.
After attending this session, faculty will better understand the critical role they play in alerting staff when students are struggling, how and where to refer students for assistance, and how to structure their syllabi in alignment with key university deadlines.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand how timely reporting tools, such as Academic Alerts and Care Referrals, contribute to student success.
- Become familiar with the academic support resources available to students.
- Appreciate key deadlines and processes, including Add/Drop and Withdrawal, and understand how they impact student success.
